Owned by Kate and Phil Rankin, Parkers Jewellery at The Bead ‘n’ Glass Studio, is one of the few places of its kind in the South. You can not only choose from a wide range of necklaces, bracelets earrings and pendants on display, but Kate can create bespoke items to your specifications or you can have a go yourself!
The great thing about beaded jewellery is that it is unique! You can experiment with all sorts of different techniques. If stuck for ideas, there are plenty of beading magazines for inspiration!You will find 1000’s of scrummy beads and findings, handmade beaded jewellery including sterling silver and semi precious stones. Beading is a fun, low cost hobby and it is utterly addictive!
Set in the beautiful Courtyard Craft Centre, the studio offers yet another opportunity to quench your creative thirst. The workbench is available for you to sit and thread beads to your heart’s content, Kate & Phil are happy to finish items by adding clasps/hoops if required (small charge of £1 applies).
Kate offers classes and personal tuition for only £10 + materials. These classes are normally 2 hours however customers often stay longer to enjoy the creative retreat!
Personalised jewellery makes an excellent present for friends and family. Making your own gift can cost from as little as £1.50 upwards. Parkers Jewellery also offer a lovely range of gift boxes from only 70p to complete your gift.

We stock over 500 different beads, including foiled glass, semi-precious and Miyuki seed beads. Also available Beadalon wire and Beadsmith pliers.
There is a great selection of low cost, high quality ready made jewellery to choose from. Much of it is handmade at the studio by Kate.
